I am an AI and digital transformation executive with two decades of experience leading enterprise AI deployment, governance, and data strategy across government, international organizations, and highly regulated environments.

As Chief AI Officer for New York State, I oversee the deployment and governance of AI technologies across 51 Executive Agencies serving nearly 20 million residents and supporting approximately 130,000 state employees. My work focuses on enterprise AI transformation, operational AI governance, generative AI deployment, data governance, cybersecurity risk mitigation, workforce enablement, and responsible AI implementation at scale.

I have led statewide deployment initiatives involving generative AI platforms including Gemini and Claude Code, developed governance methodologies aligned with New York State law, the EU AI Act, and the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, and worked across legal, cybersecurity, procurement, and executive leadership teams to operationalize AI safely in high-trust environments.

My work has also included enterprise data governance initiatives designed to mitigate oversharing and information exposure risks associated with AI-enabled productivity systems.

Previously, I served as a senior data scientist at RedOwl (now Forcepoint) and held leadership roles across the United Nations Secretariat, UNDP, the World Bank, and OCHA, before leading global AI governance research at the United Nations University Centre for Policy Research. I am a frequent keynote speaker and advisor on AI governance, enterprise AI transformation, and institutional risk management, with engagements spanning government, multilateral organizations, academia, and industry. I live in New York City with my family and play cello with the UN Symphony Orchestra.
